Who We Are
Beacon of Hope Uganda is a Community Based Organization born from compassion and driven by purpose. We exist to bring light where darkness lingers among children without care, widows and widowers struggling to survive, and elderly souls left behind.
Founded in Jinja City, we believe that every person deserves dignity, love, and a chance to rebuild. Our work extends beyond giving we empower.
We provide food, essential care, and the emotional support that turns despair into hope. Through skill training and sustainable community programs, we help young & single mothers who have no assistance, orphans, and families rediscover their strength and independence.
At Beacon of Hope Uganda, we are not just responding to need; we are building futures one meal, one hand, and one story at a time.

What We Do
01.
— We Find & Fund
We identify the most vulnerable individuals in our communities and connect them with resources, sponsors, and opportunities that bring lasting change.
02.
— We Build Networks
By partnering with local leaders, volunteers, and supporters, we strengthen our reach and multiply our impact across Jinja and surrounding areas.
03.
— We Strengthen
We work closely with families and community groups to restore dignity, security, and hope through consistent care and empowerment programs.
04.
— We Educate
We pay for tuition (school fees) for orphans and children without assistance and those from deeply poverty shrunken families & equip youth and young & single mothers with no assistance with life skills such as tailoring, craft making, and beadwork, opening doors to self sustainability and income generation.
05.
— We Provide Care
From food distribution to emotional counseling, we ensure that no one under our watch feels forgotten or alone.
06.
— We Consult
We collaborate with like-minded organizations, providing guidance and sharing experiences to improve how communities approach poverty and empowerment.

A Second Chance for Sarah
After losing her parents at 13, Sarah’s life became a daily struggle. Through our community feeding program and mentorship support, she not only returned to school but now helps prepare meals for other children in need, a story of hope turning full circle.
The Hands That Found Purpose
Martha, a young single mother, joined our tailoring training in 2024. Within months, she began producing handmade crafts now sold in local markets. Her income supports her child’s school fees, and her confidence shines brighter every day.
